About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator – Pediatric Medicine Summary: Under the guidance and support of the Director of Nursing, the Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator provides clinical leadership, ensuring coordination of patient care and oversight of nursing and MA staff within the Pediatric Medicine Department. The Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator serves as a resource for staff, while collaborating with providers and leadership to optimize workflow, ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulation policies to ensure the promotion of high-quality patient care for the pediatric population. The Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator ensures coordination, storage and distribution of both state and federal vaccines per DPH guidelines.

Requirements

  • License to practice as an LPN from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and BA/BS degree or higher in health and human services required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of pediatric clinical nursing experience, community/FQHC or primary care setting required.
  • Appropriate continuing education is required.
  • Maintain current certification in CPR at the healthcare level required.
  • Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vaccine programs (i.e VFC) and inventory management strongly preferred.
  • Prior leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of health, social services, and funding sources preferred.
  • Strong computer knowledge; Epic experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities
