About The Position

Join Sanford Health as a Lead Patient Access professional and play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for every patient from their very first interaction. In this leadership position, you will oversee Patient Access operations at our 69th & Minnesota, Harrisburg, and 49th & Oxbow Weight Management and Physical Therapy clinics, empowering and supporting team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and outstanding customer service. As a trusted leader, you will mentor staff, champion process improvements, and ensure efficient scheduling, accurate registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance to help patients access the care they need with confidence. Requirements

  • Two years of One Chart or similar electronic medical records (EMR) experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers.
  • Fill in, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues within the department.
  • Work independently without much supervision and accept accountability for individual tasks.
  • Excel in customer service skills.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and serve as a mentor.
  • Provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage due to absences or lack of float coverage.
  • Assist with on-going department education and training.
  • Develop training curriculum and materials to ensure that departmental training needs are met.
  • Facilitate change and ensure adoption of new processes.
  • Demonstrate analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation and training skills.
  • Assist in managing productivity and department reports.
