About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role supports the team as a Lead Patient Access Representative. The position requires the ability to function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers, with familiarity in all areas of the department. The Lead Representative can fill in, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues within the department. They must be able to work independently, accept accountability for individual tasks, and excel in customer service skills. This role assists with new employee orientation, serves as a mentor, and may provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage. Additionally, the Lead Representative assists with ongoing department education and training, may develop training curriculum and materials, and may facilitate change and ensure adoption of new processes. Demonstrates analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation, and training skills. May also assist in managing productivity and department reports.

Requirements

  • Two years of One Chart or similar electronic medical records (EMR) experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities
