About The Position

This role requires the ability to function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers. The Lead Patient Access Representative should be familiar with all areas of the department and capable of filling in, answering questions, and assisting in resolving issues within the department. The position emphasizes working independently with minimal supervision and accepting accountability for individual tasks, excelling in customer service skills. Responsibilities include assisting with new employee orientation, serving as a mentor, and potentially providing oversight of work tasks and adjusting staffing to ensure appropriate coverage due to absences or lack of float coverage. The role also involves assisting with ongoing department education and training, potentially developing training curriculum and materials, and facilitating change to ensure adoption of new processes. Demonstrates analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation, and training skills. May assist in managing productivity and department reports.

Requirements

  • Two years of One Chart or similar electronic medical records (EMR) experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of customer service experience preferred.
