Lead Parks Maintenance Worker (Ball Field Maintenance)
About The Position
Under general supervision, provides lead work direction and performs semi-skilled work focused on the care, maintenance, and preparation of City athletic fields and ball fields. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining baseball, softball, and other sports fields; maintaining turf, infields, warning tracks, fences, dugouts, backstops, and related athletic field facilities; performing field lining, dragging, grooming, edging, and other game-day preparation activities; and installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation lines and sprinkler systems for athletic fields and landscaped areas. Performs routine grounds maintenance, operates a variety of hand and power equipment, and assists with the care and maintenance of City parks, recreational facilities, trails, and related systems and facilities. Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Three years of journey-level experience in parks or landscape maintenance work.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Experienced maintenance professional with strong knowledge of athletic field and ball field maintenance, including turf care, infield preparation and grooming, field lining, irrigation systems, landscaping, and the upkeep of sports field facilities and equipment.
