Supervises and coordinates EMS resources assigned or dispatched to an assigned geographical area. Ensure on-duty personnel and equipment are maintained in a state of readiness and that staff members consistently perform in compliance with their position description and with the policies/procedures of the department. Performance is evaluated in cooperation with Shift Supervisor, Training Officer, Assistant Chief of Operations, EMS Chief and Medical Director by observation and through review of records and reports. May also serve in command position during mass casualty incidents or prolonged operations. May rotate to position of Paramedic Supervisor during his/her absence.
