About The Position
HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER has an outstanding opportunity for a Lead Painter to join its skilled trades and facilities team. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and strong work/life balance. The position is 100% FTE, Monday-Friday, Days, with no telework. Our Skilled Trades and Facilities Teams support Harborview’s vision to create a supportive and empowering workplace for all, provide unparalleled experiences for our customers and patients, and improve the quality of life and health of the public.
Requirements
- One year of full-time experience as a journey painter or equivalent trade skill.
- May require valid State of Washington driver’s license.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Responsibilities
- Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others; assist in selection, evaluation and discipline of others
- Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions by assigned personnel
- Prepare preliminary cost estimates for painting and finishing work
- Develop methods and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel
- Perform skilled painting work
