About The Position

PFX Cincinnati is looking for a motivated Lead Packaging Operator to join our 1st shift team, working 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM! In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll help guide our packaging team, keep daily operations running smoothly, and perform Packaging Operator duties to support safe, efficient production.

Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to use tools or controls and climb or balance.
  • Frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 42 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and horizontally push up to 125 pounds.

  • Previous experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate daily tasks to Operators and ensure these tasks are completed within required timeframes.
  • Ensure Vorne, Production Schedule, and Production reporting is accurately updated.
  • Ensure that each QA checklist is being performed on each production line during their shift.
  • Ensure that each line is accurately recording finished goods production and material usage.
  • Lead and direct all packaging functions, including bottling line, label and cap racks, and packaging of totes, drums, pails, and pouches.
  • Ensure product changeovers are done safely and correctly for each line.
  • Ensure that all operating procedures, safety rules, and company policies are followed by all Packaging and Bottling Line Operators on shift.
  • Address all violations directly with Operators and work with the Operations Supervisor to issue corrective action if violations persist.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, including bottling lines, drum line, stretch wrap machine, pail and pouch lines, along with associated hoses, fittings, floors, racks, and filling stations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the E Room.
  • Follow the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan.
  • Ensure the completion of all paperwork in the packaging area.
  • Train all new Operators regarding their job duties and operational and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all Packaging and Bottling Line Operators understand their job duties and how to complete them.
  • Perform all Packaging Operator and Dock Operator duties, including loading drums onto skids, labeling and filling totes, drums and pails, pouches, and shrink wrap and store containers in the appropriate location within the plant.
  • Ensure that the bottling line is running and functioning.
  • Load and unload finished goods and materials on and off trailers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
