About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Lead Package Handler to join our team at the Chicago HUB. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of packages. The Lead Package Handler will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding a team, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position offers a competitive hourly wage with a shift differential for weekend work.

Requirements

Previous experience in package handling or a related field.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work the specified shift: Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience with warehouse management systems.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the package handling team.
Provide guidance and support to package handlers.
Ensure all packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Assist with training new team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
