The Outpatient Lead Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to individuals enrolled in the Private Mental Health Center as well as supervising all clinical staff at the assigned PMHC site. He/she is responsible for providing the clinical support necessary for implementation of the therapeutic services through the establishment of a comprehensive therapeutic relationship with youth and families based on the provision of individual, family, and group therapy. The position assures that the program meets all state, federal and regulatory organization guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in outpatient or residential services preferred.
  • Minimum of two-years of the experience must be in working with families and youth.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Mississippi professional license in mental health field is required (LPC or LCSW).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual therapy as needed
  • Conduct family therapy as needed
  • Conduct group sessions as needed
  • Conduct tele-med assistance as an originating site as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between the guardians and/or families of the PMHC.
  • Assist in the coordination of the aftercare plan with each youth.
  • Assist in maintaining a resource book.
  • Attend child and family team review sessions.
  • Completes the Initial Treatment Plan with each youth within 24 hours of admission.
  • Document the results of all therapeutic sessions using collaborative documentation within 24 hours.
  • Complete PWEBS search and track progress of youth via dashboards.
  • Complete an aftercare plan with each OP youth seven days before discharge.
  • Complete a Discharge Summary for each OP youth at discharge.
  • Assumes Clinical On-Call responsibilities as scheduled.- PMHC
  • Conduct Community outreach and at least 12 community events per year and ongoing as needed.
  • Complete all reports related to OP youth participation.
  • Complete all reports on statistical data for internal use and for external regulatory agencies.
  • Conducts bi-weekly supervision with outpatient therapists.
  • Available for case consultation as needed for the clinical staff.
  • Approves time-sheets for clinical therapists.
  • Works to ensure proper staffing and that all staff adhere to organization values and policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform monthly chart audits of peers as assigned.
  • Attend bi-weekly supervisory sessions with the Site Manager.
  • Maintain annual training requirements.
  • Present proof of licensure renewal as appropriate.
  • Participate in staff training and educational programs to maintain annual minimum requirements.
