About The Position
We are seeking a Lead Oracle PL/SQL Database Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, data analysis, data APIs, and database performance tuning. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in development. This role requires someone who can lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale, cloud-enabled solutions while mentoring developers and collaborating with global teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, data analysis, data APIs, and database performance tuning.
- Ability to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale, cloud-enabled solutions.
- Experience mentoring developers.
- Experience collaborating with global teams.
- Experience with ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
- Experience with CI/CD, ATDD, automated testing, and Agile engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- Develop complex database solutions while remaining hands-on with the codebase.
- Perform data analysis, data modeling, and database performance tuning.
- Design and implement data APIs.
- Lead the development and maintenance of batch jobs using ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
- Lead application design efforts and ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Translate business requirements, storyboards, and use cases into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and promote clean, testable, readable, maintainable, and performant code.
- Contribute to CI/CD, ATDD, automated testing, and Agile engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to development team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global development teams.
- Drive engineering excellence, software quality, and continuous improvement.
- Lead technical design and implementation of software solutions.
- Guide developers on engineering standards and best practices.
- Conduct and participate in design and code reviews.
- Mentor team members and support their technical growth.
- Promote high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Remain hands-on with Oracle SQL/PLSQL development while providing technical leadership.
