About The Position

Eyemart Express is hiring a full-time Lead Optical Lab Technician in Medford, Oregon. The role leads the lab team in cutting, edging, and creating prescription lenses so customers receive their glasses promptly. The technician uses optical laboratory equipment and interprets prescription specifications, while maintaining quality, safe and organized work areas, and efficient job flow. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2–5 years of experience working in a lab or technical setting.
Experience working in the optical industry is required.

Responsibilities

Lead lab work involving cutting, edging, and creating prescription lenses.
Identify and work with basic optical laboratory equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
Meet hourly deadlines for finishing jobs.
Read and interpret prescription specifications and enter them into the computer so lenses are cut properly.
Keep the lab area and equipment safe and organized.
Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance according to lab and equipment manual specifications.
Perform multiple tasks concurrently at several equipment stations to maintain acceptable job flow.
Complete assigned reporting forms in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
Assist with moving heavy lab equipment when necessary.
