About The Position

Provides quality patient instruction and care. Must be able to work independently to provide competent care. Communicates with providers and other team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements

  • Accreditation by Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology.
  • At least 1 year experience working in an Ophthalmologist / Optometrist setting.
  • Completion of AAO home study course.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of 2 year ophthalmic technology training program.
  • 18 hours of continuing education credits approved by JCAHPO every 3 years.
