Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Minimum 10 to 12 years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists in organizing the resources needed to meet the production schedule, quality, cost and safety objectives.
  • Ensures the efficient operation of assigned production lines.
  • Will start and stop production lines, correct jams, and make minor adjustments to the packaging equipment.
  • Monitors the product for compliance with quality standards.
  • Assists with maintaining inventory control of packaging materials which include the auditing of materials received from the distribution center and the reconciliation of materials after production is complete.
  • Understand and operate the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
  • Provide verification activities of critical packaging operations to include weights, torques, AQL checks and any other specified quality check.
  • Perform in-process/finished product quality checks during Packaging processes.
  • Obtain samples for QC testing and Stability.
  • Determine the need to place material on QA hold, and issue re-inspection, reprocess, and rework as directed by procedure.
  • Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Maintains the packaging area to be in compliance with good housekeeping standards.
  • Maintains a variety of forms and logs.
  • Maintains First In-First Out as supplied from Materials Department
  • Can perform all of the duties of a Lead Operator Trainee, Line Operator I and II.
  • Performs Material Handler duties when necessary.
  • Assists in the training of temporaries and new employees to have a highly skilled, productive crew.
