Lead Warehouse Operator – Night Shift (Hourly) Location: Indianapolis, IN Shift: Night shift (D shift: 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off) Status: Hourly, non‑exempt Role Overview The Lead Warehouse Operator (Night Shift) supports safe, compliant material flow in a GMP pharmaceutical warehouse. This hands‑on role performs receiving, picking, staging, and shipping activities while maintaining accurate documentation and an inspection‑ready environment. The position also provides day‑to‑day leadership support to the night shift team. Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or other GMP‑regulated environment
  • Safety‑first mindset with respect for controlled processes
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with documentation
  • Reliable and accountable, with consistent night‑shift performance
  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, picking, staging, and shipping activities in compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and safety requirements
  • Complete accurate documentation to ensure traceability, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
  • Handle raw materials, packaging, and intermediate goods to prevent contamination, mix‑ups, or quality issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection‑ready warehouse
  • Operate material handling equipment safely (as trained)
  • Train and support team members on SOPs, GMP expectations, and safe material handling
  • Serve as backup to the shift supervisor by helping coordinate work, prioritize tasks, and ensure effective shift handoffs
  • Review and verify team documentation and escalate issues as needed
  • Communicate clearly across shifts to support continuity and right‑first‑time execution
