About The Position

Lilly is entering an exciting period of growth and is committed to delivering innovative medicines to patients worldwide. The company is investing over $1 Billion to build a new, environmentally conscious, and highly automated campus in Concord, North Carolina. This new campus will utilize the latest technology to increase capacity in parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly, and packaging operations. This is a unique opportunity to build and operate a new site, with the chance to directly impact team culture and operations. The Parenteral (PAR) Lead Operator will support startup activities for the aseptic isolator barrier filling area, becoming an expert and educating their team on proper facility operation. After the project phase, the role will ensure continuous supply of medicines by expertly running the process, troubleshooting, collaborating cross-functionally, and upholding a safety-first, quality-always mindset. Lead Operators will coordinate daily activities to meet capacity plans and develop team capabilities, with significant opportunities for growth into future leadership and technical roles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with automated equipment in a GMP/cleanroom environment
  • Minimum 3 months leadership experience and the ability to train / educate team members
  • Minimum 3 months experience working with computers (desktop software, MS office, HMI's, electronic batch records/systems)

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on the manufacturing floor ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable product supply to patients.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, exemplify safe working practices, and support HSE goals.
  • Act as both administrator and technical leader for operations, demonstrating knowledge of procedures, compliance with quality systems, and teaching proper techniques.
  • Serve as a key technical resource for troubleshooting and the primary point of contact for issue escalation on the shop floor.
  • Administer technical training and ensure all operators are trained to perform tasks.
  • Operate equipment and perform activities as required to meet production schedules.
  • Assist in checking execution documentation (Electronic Batch Record, SAP, Cleaning Logs).
  • Drive key departmental objectives including improving safety performance, reducing deviations, improving productivity, and training compliance.
  • Support Site Leadership in building a diverse and capable site organization by delivering area operational procedures, quality processes, and controls for the PAR areas.
  • Assist Supervisor in development and performance evaluations of shift operators and act as backup for the Supervisor.
  • Serve as a key liaison between operations and support functions.
