About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring for our Distribution Center in Greencastle, PA! Conveniently located off Exit 3 on Interstate 81, this state-of-the-art facility will expand our East Coast distribution network and strengthen our ability to deliver for our customers. As a Lead Operations Training Coordinator, you will be at the center of employee development within the distribution center. You will drive training excellence by leading onboarding, re-training initiatives, and ongoing development for employees at all levels—from Material Handlers to site leadership. You’ll also play a key role in supporting engagement, ensuring training compliance through SFLMS, and helping employees navigate systems like Workday and benefits resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience training peers on both processes and hands-on tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with all levels of employees
  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and learning new systems
  • Ability to quickly learn operational processes, equipment, and tools
  • Comfortable working in various temperature conditions of the warehouse floor
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining training records

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), such as SFLMS, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead new hire orientation for full-time and temporary employees, ensuring a strong and engaging onboarding experience
  • Deliver hands-on, floor-based training for new hires, transfers, and employees requiring re-training
  • Partner with leadership to identify training gaps and execute targeted re-training initiatives
  • Manage and maintain training records within SFLMS, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Support employees with Workday navigation, benefits questions, and general HR-related tools/resources
  • Plan and participate in employee engagement activities to enhance the training experience and team culture
  • Stay current on all operational roles and SOPs to provide accurate and effective instruction
  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop, update, and improve SOPs and training materials
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide real-time coaching, feedback, and support
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance training programs to improve effectiveness and employee performance
