As our Lead Operations Technician, you’ll be the go-to support for our Operations Manager and a hands-on leader across Delivery, Warehouse, and Biomedical Operations. From helping teammates succeed and keeping inventory organized to ensuring equipment is patient-ready and deliveries stay on track, you’ll play a vital role in helping HSS deliver seamless service where it matters most.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
  • Two or more years of experience in medical delivery, warehouse operations, DME, logistics, and/or a related operational field strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience leading, training, or coordinating the work of others.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry items using proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating daily delivery, warehouse, and biomedical activities.
  • Help assign and prioritize daily work based on staffing, delivery volume, patient needs, inventory availability, repair needs, and other operational priorities.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, training, coaching, and support to delivery and warehouse team members.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, staffing concerns, equipment shortages, safety issues, and service barriers; communicate findings and recommended solutions to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure appropriate operational coverage for deliveries, warehouse responsibilities, biomedical work, and on-call needs.
  • Serve as backup for medical deliveries, pickups, equipment setups, emergency service requests, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Deliver, pick up, install, set up, and troubleshoot Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in patient homes, facilities, and other customer locations.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on the safe use, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical equipment.
  • Pull, inspect, stage, load, unload, clean, sanitize, and prepare medical equipment and supplies for delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized warehouse and biomedical work area in accordance with company policies, safety requirements, and infection-control expectations.
  • Assist with inventory counts, equipment and supply organization, shortage identification, and inventory reporting.
  • Assist with inspecting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and completing preventative maintenance on medical equipment within the scope of training and authorization.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, equipment records, repair documentation, maintenance logs, and related paperwork by the end of each shift
