About The Position

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Lead Operating Room Tech in Owasso, OK. Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region. The Lead OR Technician is responsible for delegation of duties to OR Techs by making assignments based on needs, abilities, and expertise. Responsible for the transport and care of patients to and from the department at the request and direction of licensed personnel and assist with the daily activities of the OR/PACU/OPS/Surgery. Facilitates the OR schedule in collaboration with the OR Charge RN and Department Management. Communicates with patients and displays strong communication skills. Facilitates patient movement from admitting to pre-op and can assist PAT patient flow as well. Responsible for working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice in the surgery department by providing direct and indirect care based on individual needs as determined by department leadership. Also functions in the capacity of an OR Tech.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Nurse Aide or OR Tech experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in related position
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
