About The Position

CXI Trucking is seeking an experienced Lead Office Clerk to execute daily office and customer service operations at our Melrose Park facility. This position serves as the point person to the Office Manager for front-office coordination, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining strong communication between customers, dispatch, and operations. This is a hands-on, all-encompassing office role for someone who is versatile and ambitious.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in multifaceted customer service role
  • Strong ability to manage priorities and delegate in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience handling high-volume calls and email traffic
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service or office experience

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation, logistics, or freight scheduling experience strongly preferred
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, prioritize, and oversee daily workflow of customer service functions
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues and service concerns
  • Coordinate closely with Dispatch to ensure scheduling accuracy and on-time deliveries
  • Monitor call/email volume and ensure timely, professional responses
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to office staff to maintain performance standards
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure proper completion of documentation, reporting, and customer records
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, carriers, and internal departments
  • Assist leadership with reporting, metrics tracking, and operational follow-up
