About The Position

The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. This position will be responsible for the Strategic Sourcing of Capital Equipment, Parts, Services for the OCS Business. The OCS Capital Strategic Sourcing Lead will be responsible for managing a project portfolio which may include Expansion of Business (EOB), Maintenance of Business (MOB) and Development type projects. Personal and Business Objectives include identifying and driving Capital Cost Reduction and Capital Project Performance efficiency through adoption of Capital Project Management Best Practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sourcing and Contract Administration
  • Project Procurement Planning & Strategy Development
  • Understanding of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model including cost of acquisition, use/administration, maintenance, transaction processing, and disposal of a given item or service.
  • Understands the importance and value of ensuring well-developed statements of work
  • Experience in risk identification and risk management plan development

Nice To Haves

  • CPSM or C.P.M. preferred
  • Experience developing Strategic Sourcing Plans for large capital-intensive projects
  • Experience with developing Work Breakdown Structures including the ability to sub-divide the major project deliverables obtained from the contract documents, scope of work and historical contract data into smaller more manageable work packages.
  • Knowledge and experience with funding stage gate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop RFPs/RFQs for capital equipment, services, and facilities.
  • Lead pre‑bid reviews, post‑award evaluations, and decision analysis.
  • Create detailed performance schedules with clear milestones for effective contract administration.
  • Manage full contract administration, ensuring scope, performance, quality, and contractual conditions are met while maintaining constructive supplier relationships.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and support early issue identification.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Trade Compliance.
  • Manage internal controls and risk mitigation activities.
  • Apply preventive, detective, and corrective controls (supplier qualification, training, QA programs, performance measurement, lessons learned, recovery actions).
  • Manage claims and disputes.
  • Log, track, and ensure timely follow‑up of all incoming and outgoing supplier correspondence.
  • Support capital project/program teams and align sourcing activities with business objectives.
  • Promote open communication, collaboration, and formal communication processes across project teams.
  • Maintain high integrity and adherence to corporate values, Code of Conduct, and information security policies.
  • Facilitate project workshops (Risk, TCO, Cost Reduction).
  • Extreme follow-up on open action items
