About The Position

The Lead Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, treatment, education, planning, and utilization of exercises, including administering occupational therapy modalities, treatment, and rehabilitative procedures for individuals limited by physical injury or illness, a dysfunctional condition, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, or a developmental or learning disability. This can be due to trauma, illness, or a condition present at birth. The role also involves assisting in program management and development responsibilities. Some travel may be required for providing services between facilities and for job functions. Requirements

  • Licensure in the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Three or more years of clinical experience as a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Must have and maintain current BLCS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
  • Required to travel as needed.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
