About The Position

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech applies the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. This role leads the daily section operations and acts as a point of contact for hospital staff, physicians, patients, and their families. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech also manages staff scheduling, maintains team oversight, and delivers trainings. Additionally, they monitor the section’s nuclear equipment, coordinating repairs and making recommendations, and research, develop, and implement quality performance standards and imaging techniques.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (required)
  • Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
  • 2 years of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine (required)

  • State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)

Responsibilities
