About The Position

The Lead Radiologic Technologist will provide leadership, train personnel, and generate feedback. The position may require varied hours, shift lengths, and on-call responsibilities, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Sponsorship is not available for this position, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nuclear medicine technology program (as recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)).
  • Board certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology and maintain current licensure (NMTCB or ARRT - Nuc. Med.).
  • Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure).
  • BLS certified
  • Organized, efficient and multifunctional.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred.
  • Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Radiology activities within the department.
  • Uses effective leadership, judgment and problem solving skills in a teamwork environment.
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in the use of all equipment in the area.
  • Ensures the production of high quality images that meet the standards established by the Mayo Radiology Department.
  • Directs and practices safety guidelines for themselves, staff and patients.
  • Provides leadership, builds commitment, educates and trains personnel in the work area and generates feedback.
  • May be required to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
