About The Position

This is the specialist level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees at this level solve complex problems, manage work, and provide leadership to others in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for unreviewed work. Incumbents function in lead roles providing guidance to others. They are also expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently. Progression to this level is restricted on the basis of business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 8 years minimum related work experience
  • 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
  • The incumbent must meet the minimum ANSI requirements for this position identified within the scope of Nuclear Operating Fleet Administrative Procedure AD-LS-ALL-0011, Confirmation of Regulatory Guide 1.8 Personnel Qualifications
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • Department specific experience applicable to the hiring department.
  • A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.
  • Nuclear requirements for the Lead level include either a Professional Engineer registration OR one of the following: a Masters Degree in a technical discipline, SRO certification, an RO or SRO license, or Technical Nuclear certification
