About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a Lead Night Porter - Custodian for their Kakaako location. This is a part-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, totaling 17.5 hours weekly. The role involves leading a team of four in cleaning designated areas, maintaining the property according to assigned tasks, and ensuring a fast and efficient workflow. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing common areas, restrooms, tenant spaces, elevators, and stairwells, as well as restocking supplies and managing waste disposal. The Lead Night Porter will also be responsible for ensuring doors are secured properly and reviewing employee time cards for payroll submission. The position requires effective communication with the HBM supervisor and property manager, and the ability to use a smartphone for communication and report generation. Candidates must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting a minimum of 30 lbs, and pass an HBM prescreen check.

Requirements

Possess the ability to utilize a smartphone for communication and report generation.
Candidates should be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting a minimum of 30 lbs. and more.
Must pass HBM prescreen check.
Previous supervisory experience or related experience required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Valid Hawaii driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate efficiently with the HBM supervisor and property manager.

Clean and maintain the location space, which involves restocking supplies, sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas.
Ensure that doors are secured properly.
Oversee that the property is cleaned according to assigned tasks.
Monitor and maintain a fast and efficient workflow.
Clean restrooms, tenant spaces, elevators, and stairwells.
Remove trash and replace liners, disposing of waste in designated areas.
Ensure that employee time cards are reviewed and submitted to payroll promptly.
Perform other tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor.
