Eaton Corporation•Olean, NY
•$97,000 - $143,000

About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is hiring a Lead New Product Development Engineer to design and develop arresters for its Line Installation and Protective Equipment (LIPE) product line. The role leads teams in developing innovative electro-mechanical product solutions for electrical power system applications and contributes to cross-functional project teams that advance concepts through a formal project process. The engineer may lead small projects or serve as a core team member on larger projects, working with technologies including metal oxide varistors (MOVs), polymers, rubber moldings, castings, and metal fabrications. Work ranges from high-level system concepts to detailed subsystem development and analysis. The position provides technical leadership on major projects and across the business, leads functional improvement efforts, mentors engineers and technicians, and supports design, testing, manufacturing, and root-cause problem solving. Travel of up to 25% may be required for customer and supplier visits and test-lab facilities.
