What you’ll do: Provide cross-functional orchestration across engineering, supply chain, finance, IT, and field operations. Act as a product owner for equipment recovery and automation features. Ensure clean vendor/tool retirements, data integration, benefit tracking, and user change management. Support program expansion for Wireline Transformation and Decommissioning, Open RAN, and new asset recovery work streams (Resale, Reuse, and Recycle/SMELT). Safeguard network asset recovery targets from delays and under-delivery. Protect core savings, recurring cost avoidance, and system-retirement milestones. What you’ll need: AT&T is seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Technology Engineer to join our team and provide program guidance and oversight within network transformation team and partner organizations for automation development and implementation. This position requires strong network knowledge and expertise in inventory data modeling and pipelines. The successful candidate will have experience writing automation requirements for Center of Excellence developers and a deep understanding of existing network engineering workflows, support systems, and equipment inventory made available through Network Decommissioning and Wireline Transformation initiatives. This role is essential in safeguarding AT&T's strategic goals related to equipment recovery and cost savings, ensuring timely and effective delivery of automation features. Provide program guidance and oversight for automation development and implementation. Ensure the achievement of the network equipment and card recovery targets and protect core savings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Strong network knowledge and expertise with inventory data models and pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with defining user requirements for software automation developers.
  • Strong understanding of wireline and wirelines transport network architectures (DS0-OC192, SONET, Ethernet)
  • Strong understanding of TDM voice switching systems (DMS, 4ESS, 5ESS, STP) and supporting OSS’s
  • Experience working within Cienna and Cisco equipment used in Mobility and Wireline switching.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data analytics platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir Foundry)
  • Experience in vendor/tool retirements and data integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
