Lead Network Engineer
About The Position
Hunter Communications is seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to join their team. This role involves hands-on upgrades and replacements of network routing, switching, environmental, and power systems in POP/cabinet and data center environments. The Lead Network Engineer will manage projects, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure adherence to project plans, budgets, and schedules. Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in related field
- Carrier Grade and/or ISP experience
- Experience with MPLS, L2VPNs and L3VPNs
- Experience with OSPF, BGP and QoS
- Optical networking/DWDM
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting networks at OSI levels 1-7
- Manage BGP and connected hardware
- Command-line configuration of switches, routers, firewalls
- Network troubleshooting
- Assist with designing edge network systems and processes
- Assist with the design and maintain Hunters Juniper core network
- Tier 3 NOC support for edge technicians
