About The Position

CACI’s Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Lead Network Engineer in support of an Air Force Modernization program. As the Lead Network Engineer you will support infrastructure modernization of unclassified and classified base area networks to include site survey, design and installation activities across wired, wireless, broadband and ISP/OSP.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of related work experience (HS Diploma/associates degree with 13+ years performing as a Manager in DoD supporting large, complex networks may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree)
  • Experience in network planning, design strategies for an enterprise BAN, design of infrastructure and network services, designing WLAN RF, and advanced wireless site surveying
  • DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC); CCNP or CCDP or equivalent
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts (Visio) for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions, focusing on high availability and performance
  • Manage the site surveys and Engineering team in the design of modernized network architecture
  • Design, implement, and document secure network architectures, including STIG checklists, port/protocol/service documentation, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) in compliance with DAF and DoD RMF standards
  • Lead the deployment of network management tools (SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration) and coordinate with local Communication Squadrons
  • Perform, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues. Provide Tier 3 support to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams
  • Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and operational cleanliness, restoring sites to original or better condition
