About The Position

Entarian is seeking a Lead Network Architect to support a complex space mission operations capability that fulfills DoD mission requirements. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in Network Architecture and the ability to implement various network solutions, including design, configuration, integration, testing, launch, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of innovative networking technologies. This role involves performing system-level design and configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, and ASAs, and supporting the testing and installation of network communications systems, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems. The position requires monitoring and responding to complex technical hardware and software problems, interfacing with vendor support for escalation during outages, and providing oversight for all information systems operations activities. Responsibilities also include providing input to policy-level discussions, performing routine analysis of network facilities, reviewing network reports and logs, and utilizing software and hardware tools to diagnose network performance issues. Effective communication with other project groups like Security, Windows, UNIX, and Storage teams is essential for system component installation and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret / SCI eligible security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline. (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant network experience in design and building out network infrastructure.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, and administering routers, switches, and/or firewalls in a large production environment.
  • Experience supporting network circuits, MPLS networks, and other LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience supporting organization users, customers, clients, and remote sites on a network.
  • Experience supporting and working with other organizational IT departments/teams such as Security, Windows, UNIX, Storage, and other IT teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network performance issues and analyze network traffic using network monitoring tools, and provide capacity planning solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products, such as routers, switches, ASAs, and other network devices.
  • Support the testing and installation of network communications systems, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
  • Monitor and respond to complex technical hardware and software problems.
  • Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Provide support, assistance, and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including computer and telecommunications/communications operations, data entry, data control, LAN/MAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations.
  • Provide input to policy level discussions regarding standards, design, budget constraints, and more.
  • Provide the routine analysis of all elements of the network facilities.
  • Review network reports and logs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize software and hardware tools and identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
  • Communicate effectively with other project groups, such as, Security, Windows, UNIX, and Storage teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems components.
