About The Position

Envision Imaging is looking to hire a Lead Multi-Modality Technologist to join our team. This position involves leading a multi-modality team of Technologists in performing patient scans to obtain satisfactory images with minimal supervision. The role includes performing MRI procedures, CT and X-Ray examinations according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Responsibilities also encompass positioning patients, performing scans using proper technical factors, maintaining the patient environment, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
  • Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Registry in Radiography (R)
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray
  • Previous Team Lead experience in a healthcare environment

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  • Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
  • Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist. Serves as an expert resource for clinical, technical and process-related questions for other Technologists.
  • Reviews and optimizes scheduling to accommodate work-ins and ensures the proper protocol.
  • Assists with new employee training.
  • Ensures A.L.A.R.A (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) is followed with daily calibration and scheduled maintenance of imaging equipment, optimizes all radiation dependent exams, and maintains accurate dose records.
  • Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies. Coordinates annual Physics testing and/or equipment inspections.
  • Oversees Compliance, Quality & Safety Programs for the Center.
  • Other duties as assigned.
