About The Position

The company is looking for a full-time Breast Biopsy/Mammography Technologist for our East Brunswick, NJ Imaging Office. This role involves operating and maintaining diagnostic, stereotactic, and vacuum-assisted equipment to perform breast biopsy procedures. The technologist will be responsible for maintaining required QC documentation for MQSA and ACR, including renewal applications and breast pathology correlation. A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the procedures performed is necessary, as is knowledge of procedure protocols to assist the radiologist. The role also requires maintaining the required number of mammograms and CME's per MQSA standards, knowing the application and location of supply items, and maintaining department supplies. The ability to locate patient images for procedures and ensure specimens and associated pathology are handled per protocol is essential. This position may require lifting patients for proper placement onto the examination table. Collaboration with the Breast Biopsy Team for scheduling and consent is expected. All mandatory in-service classes must be completed annually, and assistance in training staff may be required. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. The role may require performing duties in or near specialized imaging equipment areas, and adherence to all department and facility safety protocols is mandatory.

Requirements

  • ARRT(R) (M) required
  • 3+ years of current experience, including stereotactic biopsy procedures.
  • NJ State License and CPR Certification require

Responsibilities
