About The Position
Goodman Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is the Southeast's largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider. It offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology. Goodman Dermatology is seeking a Lead Mohs Surgical Medical Assistant with a career in Dermatology, working with exceptional Providers, Patients, and Team Members. The ideal Lead Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and able to multitask. The MA assists the Provider with patient visits, including consultative and surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) License
- Hands-on experience in a clinical setting

- Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
- Proficient communication skills (written and verbal)
- Flexible hours
- Able to travel between two locations
Responsibilities
- Providing side-by-side assistance with surgical procedures
- Reviewing medical history
- Maintaining notes in EMR
- Obtaining appropriate consents
- Calling in prescriptions
- Performing patient callbacks
