About The Position

Our client is a global provider of alternative investment services with powerful technology and strong institutional backing. The product development team within the firm is responsible for providing leadership, governance, and direction for the company's strategy on our clients offering. This includes analysis of our clients' needs, market trends, and internal requirements to define, execute and monitor our Target Operating Model (TOM). Additionally, the product development team supports the TOM applications via dedicated support teams with relevant subject matter expertise. In 2018, the firm product development team initiated a project to implement Anaplan to automate complex fee calculations. The initial phase of the implementation project will automate carried interest calculations across the firms Private Equity and Real Asset platform globally. Our client is seeking a Lead Model Builder and Carried Interest SME to join the implementation and application support team.

Requirements

• More than 7 years' experience with a strong understanding of Private Equity and Real Asset markets and fund operations.
• Expert proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Complex waterfall/carried interest calculation or equivalent modelling experience.
• Proven track record in delivering results under time pressure is a must along with the ability and willingness to multitask and do whatever necessary to help make their project a success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills accompanied by strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Client-focused mindset, problem solving oriented, delivering superior customer results.
• Ability to present information to a variety of stakeholders, staff, at all levels.
• Candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proven ability to adapt to constantly evolving priorities; ability to multi-task.
• Exceptional attention to detail while also seeing the big picture.

Nice To Haves

• Strong experience with PE applications, including Investran, eFront, and Yardi preferred.
• General knowledge of supporting and testing computer software applications, development life cycles, application process controls, and/or end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Client Service teams in Dallas, TX; Toronto, Canada; Jersey; Dublin, Ireland, and Singapore to understand and document fee calculation requirements.
• Assimilate into current project implementation becoming SME within project team.
• Act as primary Anaplan model builder post project implementation.
• Maintain Anaplan models in production and update as required.
• Maintain model supporting documentation.
• Train and support Client Service Anaplan users.
• Oversee support and maintenance of Anaplan interfaces with connecting systems.
• Assist in the development of Anaplan applications support policies and procedures.
