This role involves completing a volume-appropriate route and staying informed about facility clearances, including service, UTOs, same-day refusals, and ammonias. The Lead Mobile Phlebotomist will also train new phlebotomists when no trainers are designated, attend facility start-ups, and conduct quarterly trunk checks. Daily accountability for all route sheets is required, along with staying up-to-date on mileage entry. This position also assists the Area Processing Supervisor (APS) with ordering supplies, closing orders, collecting centrifuge logs, and managing butterfly logs/usage if no other designee is appointed. The Lead Mobile Phlebotomist works cooperatively with various departments such as Laboratory Dispatch, Courier Dispatch, Couriers, Accessioning, Customer Service, and Data Entry.
