Lead Mobile Equipment Operator
About The Position
Trinity Rail is hiring a Lead Mobile Equipment Operator (Switch Crew Lead) at our Jonesboro plant. Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. The Switch Crew Lead position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a member of the team at Trinity, you’ll Operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between work stations and/or receiving and storage locations. You will ensure proper identification of parts and materials. You will follow all safety rules and practices. You may be involved in safety committees or initiatives. You will also be expected to perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-6+ years of related experience
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple pieces of mobile equipment including lift trucks with greater than 55K pound capacity
- Operate a trackmobile or switch engine
- Maintain records
- Lead team by assigning tasks
- Assists in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
- Maintains and Improves Quality
- Trains lower levels
- Operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between work stations and/or receiving and storage locations
- Ensure proper identification of parts and materials
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Perform all other duties as assigned
