About The Position

We are hiring on behalf of a client in the fintech and blockchain space for a Lead Mobile Engineer to lead the user-facing development of its mobile platform. The role focuses on designing and building high-performance iOS and Android applications, refining cross-platform frameworks, and creating intuitive, secure, and trustworthy user interfaces. It also includes shaping SDKs and developer tools that support the mobile application ecosystem.

The successful candidate will bring deep mobile development expertise, especially in React Native, along with knowledge of native iOS and Android development and strong UX instincts. Experience delivering production-grade applications in fintech or Web3/onchain is highly preferred. The role calls for end-to-end project ownership, clean architecture, security, and reliability, with a focus on turning complex requirements into seamless workflows for administrators and end users.

The position is remote-first, with optional office access, and is open to candidates in the US or EU. Compensation is $140,000–$220,000. The employer describes flexible hours and opportunities for career growth and leadership in a high-growth technology sector.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in mobile software engineering, including a track record of leading technical projects.
• Expert-level proficiency in React Native.
• Solid experience or knowledge in native mobile development, including Swift and Kotlin.
• Demonstrated expertise in cross-platform development paradigms and SDK architecture.
• Hands-on experience implementing WebAuthn, passkeys, and secure authentication protocols.
• A track record of shipping production-ready mobile applications in fintech or blockchain/onchain sectors.
• Strong product intuition, attention to UX details, and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

• Experience shipping production-grade applications in fintech or Web3/onchain is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of iOS and Android mobile applications.
• Own product features throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial concept to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Refine SDKs and cross-platform frameworks to support smooth, scalable integrations.
• Implement fintech-grade user experiences and bank-grade security protocols for mobile wallets.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards for performance, code quality, security, and mobile architecture.
• Partner with product management and design teams to iterate rapidly and deliver user-centric features.
• Maintain technical documentation, perform comprehensive code reviews, and mentor team members.
