About The Position

Thrive Behavioral Network is seeking a Lead Mental Health Practitioner for Nova House. The Lead Mental Health Practitioner is responsible for all aspects of the program's operation and compliance in the absence of the Program Director. This includes overseeing evening shift work, coordinating shift change meetings, reviewing documentation, organizing and participating in weekly staff meetings, overseeing direct observation forms for Rehab workers, completing daily logs, and overseeing daily task forms. The role may also involve assisting with administrative duties such as insurance authorizations, census, budget, and informed consent, as well as training new staff through on-the-job coaching and mentoring. A core responsibility is to create an atmosphere that fosters clients' self-confidence and self-worth, supervising and actively engaging with clients to stimulate positive social interaction. Under the supervision of a mental health professional, the practitioner will implement programming and clinical services, provide assistance and training to clients regarding their medical and healthcare needs, and educate and assist clients in managing their personal funds. The position requires open and honest communication with the Program Director and other staff, promoting teamwork, and upholding the policies, procedures, and philosophy of the facility and organization.

Requirements

  • Mental Health Practitioners must meet the qualifications in 245I.04 Subdv. 4 (a-d).
  • Must have 2+ years of experience delivering services in a residential behavioral health program.
  • Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner per 245I.04 Subdv. 4 (a-d).

Responsibilities

  • In the absence of the Program Director the Lead Mental Health Practitioner is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the program and the program's compliance with all applicable requirements.
  • Oversee flow of evening shift work (tasks, intakes, cleaning, etc.)
  • Coordinate evening shift change meeting.
  • Review documentation and address missing, incorrect and format issues prior to professionals approving.
  • Organizing and participating in weekly staff meeting attendance and ancillary completion.
  • Oversee documentation of direct observation forms for Rehab workers.
  • Complete daily logs to track daily documents for individuals in our care.
  • Oversee completion of daily task forms (may include: disinfecting checklist, safety checklist, key check out, visitor log, delivery log, etc.)
  • May provide assistance with administrative duties such as insurance authorizations, census, budget and informed consent.
  • Assist in training new staff through on the job coaching and mentoring.
  • To provide an atmosphere that will stimulate clients’ development of self-confidence and self-worth.
  • To supervise and be actively involved with clients at all appropriate times, stimulating positive social interaction.
  • Under the supervision of a mental health professional, implement programming and clinical services to recipients of the program and complete all related documentation.
  • To provide supervision, assistance, and training to clients in meeting their medical and healthcare needs.
  • To provide education and assistance to clients in managing their personal funds.
  • To maintain open and honest communication with the Program Director and other staff, promoting the concept of teamwork and support.
