About The Position

Apply advanced engineering and scientific expertise to architect, design and develop innovative technologies and solutions in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions from inception to implementation status that are tied to the strategic direction of the company. Drive Research and Development initiatives, integrate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs. Develop and implement innovative, scalable, and robust systems aligning with organizational goals. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. Foster a collaborative team environment. Responsible for driving IoT automation within an Over-The-Air (OTA) test environment. Design and implement automated testing workflows and automated work tools which are essential for improving the efficiency and accuracy of testing processes. Conduct comprehensive testing of residential gateways (RGs) and Wi-Fi extenders, covering multiple products and software releases. Ensure that these devices function seamlessly within the broader ecosystem of AT&T’s broadband network. Identify performance issues early, this testing process guarantees product reliability and customer satisfaction. Analyze Wi-Fi performance data to determine whether devices meet expected standards. Interpret large volumes of performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing optimizations. The contribution to performance analysis ensures AT&T’s broadband products remain competitive in the marketplace. Meticulously documenting issues found during testing, including providing supporting data and analysis. This ensures that problems are properly tracked, isolated, and resolved. Engage in collaborative problem-solving efforts across teams, driving the resolution of bugs and ensuring product quality. Providing technical support to internal teams is another vital aspect of the role. Analyze device logs to identify the root causes of issues and present findings to support broader troubleshooting efforts. This ensures that technical challenges are addressed quickly and effectively, minimizing disruptions to development and deployment cycles. Develop ad hoc testcases as new situations and challenges arise. This requires creative problem-solving and the ability to quickly adapt to changing needs, ensuring that AT&T remains agile in addressing unforeseen issues. Proficiency in programming languages like Java and Python, as well as mobile app automation frameworks like Appium, BDD, and Cucumber, allows the LMTS to develop and execute test cases efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology
  • 4 Years of experience in the job offered or 4 Years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Wi-Fi standards to analyze Wi-Fi performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure product compliance with current industry benchmarks
  • Executing and developing testing strategies for Wi-Fi devices, including residential gateways and extenders
  • Conducting precise testing, performance analysis, and debugging of networking systems
  • Develop test cases, automate workflows, and support integration with IoT devices using Java and Python
  • Ensure seamless testing of mobile apps related to Wi-Fi devices utilizing Appium, XCUITEST, and UIAUTOMATOR2
  • Utilize IP networking concepts to troubleshoot communication issues between devices and analyze logs for identifying root causes of network-related problems
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java and Python
  • Proficiency in mobile app automation frameworks like Appium, BDD, and Cucumber
