About The Position

As a Lead Member of Engineering Staff – System Architect within Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Launchers Engineering Organization in Moorestown, NJ, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and overseeing system architectures for highly complex Launchers and Weapons programs. This role involves translating mission needs into comprehensive system solutions while considering design constraints and technology maturity. You will provide technical leadership, shape future capabilities by integrating emerging technologies, and contribute strategically to various programs, captures, projects, and R&D initiatives. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor and develop team members, maintain expertise in state-of-the-art technologies, and foster collaboration across different product lines and organizations. A Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college with 9 years of professional experience or Master's degree with 7 years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience with development and maintenance of complex system architectures.
  • Demonstrated success in leading execution of system projects and teams.
  • High proficiency in CAMEO, Matlab, or Python.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance.
  • US citizenship (required for security clearance).
  • Strong experience in systems engineering, system architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience with complex, integrated systems and requirements development.
  • A continuous learning mindset and awareness of emerging technologies.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others.

Nice To Haves

  • 9 or more years of experience in systems development across design, modeling and simulation, software and/or hardware implementation, and integration and test phases.
