About The Position
Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Lead Medical Technologist for the Hills and Dales Laboratory in Cass City, MI. This full-time position requires individuals with a positive attitude to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both patients and employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory or Medical Laboratory Science
- Certification through ASCP or equivalent certification
- Able to act as a technical supervisor/consultant over applicable clinical departments within the laboratory
- BLS Certification
- At least four years of documented progressively more responsible work experience in specific areas that will be supervised
- At least 4 years of documented experience in all aspects of the laboratory to act as a technical supervisor/consultant
- Able to comply with the standards set forth for the technical supervisor/consultant by CLIA ’88
- Written and verbal communication and leadership skills

- Supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical and clinical oversight of the laboratory department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies, and procedures, and as may be directed by the Laboratory Supervisor/Laboratory Manager to assure that quality laboratory services are always provided.
- The Medical Director will sign off and approve any delegated duties assigned to the lead technologist.
