A new business within Cardinal Health, Velocare, is playing a leading role in this evolution by building critical infrastructure for the safe and effective delivery of hospital-at-home programs. This role is part of an extraordinary startup team within a Fortune 20 healthcare company that is reshaping the way high-acuity care is delivered across the country. Velocare relies on small-format facilities to operate its distributed supply chain solution. This position is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual and automated actions necessary for receiving, storage, and delivery of products to customer locations. Other functions include receiving, picking, packing, transporting (with fleet vehicle), deliveries, and inventory management tasks. The team is fast-paced, people-oriented, values integrity, and is growing nationally.

Responsibilities

Monitor productivity, adhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Depot objectives and Velocare operational goals while maintaining quality standards.
Conduct deliveries to customer locations (primarily the home of the hospital patient), conduct proof of delivery, technology setup, medical products/equipment placement and notify delivery status, as well as provide leadership and training to other depot personnel in same function.
Serve in a Monday through Friday role generally, but will include weekend shift roles and evening coverage as required, pursuant to scheduling by the Depot Supervisor and offset to the working week where possible with Technician/Driver personnel, given the 7-day operating week required by the customer.
Communicate effectively with management and other leaders of the operations to deliver timely and accurate information.
Ensure updating & completion of daily, weekly, and periodical depot tasks such as cycle counts, equipment cleaning, van maintenance, product shipments, technology troubleshooting & status changes, temperature monitoring and recording, order dispatching, inventory tracking spreadsheets, work order accuracy, kit building, and all required documentation.
Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory levels, including tasks such as cycle counts, processing incoming product requests, identifying discrepancies, executing inventory control procedures, training team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies regarding inventory management.
Collaborate with Depot Supervisor to ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of medical product, service and quality issues and maintaining stock-on-hand.
Contribute towards Velocare innovation to improve the quality of service to customers.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manage monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness.
Play a key role to help meet Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.
Coordinate maintenance of equipment and vehicles, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs, with guidance from Depot Supervisor.
Coordinate the daily activities of operations, or business support staff in a positive and proactive manner.
Administer and execute policies and procedures.
Ensure employees operate within guidelines.
