About The Position

The Lead MRA’s primary function is to facilitate the distribution and receipt of Physicians’ Orders; and ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of patient charts. This role involves leadership for the Medical Records Team, monitoring activity and efforts from all members of the Dedicated MRAs. The position also requires managing aging orders, Consents, NOMNCs, and documentation needing to be uploaded in patient charts, as well as ensuring Order & Fax Queues are cleared regularly. The Lead MRA will also lead meetings, record minutes, maintain the Physician Signature Attestation file, and distribute daily supplies shipped reports. Additional duties include ensuring new patients are added to the supplies portal, assisting with Medical Supplies Closet maintenance and inventory, providing back up to incoming calls and visitors, assisting the Facilities Manager as needed, and providing effective communication to clients, their families, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Organized and resourceful self-starter, strong ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent observation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Leadership for the Medical Records Team, monitoring activity and efforts from all members of the Dedicated MRAs.
  • Run and distribute follow up reports to the MRAs.
  • Manage aging orders, Consents, NOMNCs and documentation needing to be uploaded in the patient charts.
  • Ensure Order & Fax Queues are cleared regularly.
  • Lead MRA will lead meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Maintain Physician Signature Attestation file.
  • Distribute daily supplies shipped report and ensure items are added in patient charts.
  • Ensure new patients are added in the supplies portal.
  • Assist with Medical Supplies Closet maintenance and inventory.
  • Provide back up to incoming calls and visitors at the front door.
  • Assist Facilities Manager as needed.
  • Provide effective communication to clients, their families, team members, and other health care professionals.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.
