About The Position
The client is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a long-term contract position with the intention of going direct hire. This role is with a company involved in the manufacturing and fabrication of custom equipment. The position will be responsible for custom design, engineering calculations, budgeting, documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing instructions. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will also lead a small team of junior engineers and designers/drafters.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in CAD design (SolidWorks)
- Experience with CNC machining and machine shop interface
- Comfortable leading/overseeing a small team
