We’re looking for a Full-Time 1st Shift Lead Mechanic with light industrial experience who has mechanical experience and a knack for creative problem solving. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a high volume continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with product packaging.
  • Experience and proficiency with hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience working in a high paced industrial environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment on the production line.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds constantly throughout the assigned shift.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all plant operations through preventative maintenance, changeover, set-up, and repair of plant equipment.
  • Maintains all plant equipment including sanitizing, cleaning, lubricating, and making mechanical repairs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment and facility and completes assigned maintenance work orders.
  • Performs various special projects according to skill and ability.
  • Ensures all safety policies are strictly followed and constantly looking for opportunities to make the work area safer for all employees.
  • Provides training and mentors junior mechanics and machine operators.
