About The Position

Alltown Bus Service Lead mechanic provides lower level technicians guidance in vehicle repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies. Responsibility Profile: Performs mechanical repairs and services to equipment daily. Performs motor and gear box changes and maintenance. Contribute to daily start-up and monthly department meetings ensuring thorough communication to associates. Manage and monitor the performance and efficiency of repair operations. Actively participate in technical and safety training programs. Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems, Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, e-mail, calendar, and spreadsheets. Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs. Covers operations and maintenance positions as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Pay range: $30-$40 p/h depending on experience. Qualifications Three (3) years of transportation mechanic experience. High school diploma. Requirements
