Lead Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium of Crabapple is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join their team as Lead Instructors. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of K-12 students by teaching them math in a way that fosters understanding, mastery, and a love for the subject. The position provides consistent, part-time hours after school and on weekends, within a fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture. Mathnasium offers continuous training on effective teaching methodologies, all necessary curriculum and instructional tools, and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Exceptional math competency through at least Calculus I
- Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities
- Applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
- Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
