About The Position

Under moderate supervision, perform warehouse operations, including loading/unloading trucks, stacking bags, handling products, and palletizing. Document all completed work and record inventory data, utilizing scanners/computers, as necessary. Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of warehouse operations and promote teamwork. Operate forklifts and hand carts. Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. This role involves helping establish work schedules, ensuring schedules are implemented correctly, and jobs are completed properly. It requires applying sound communication and motivational techniques to lead, supervise, coach, and discipline associates, and providing performance evaluations to recommend promotions, wage increases, associate development, and terminations.

Requirements

  • High School education or GED preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience
  • Requires good supervisory and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and material handling equipment is essential.
  • Strong decision-making and coaching skills.
  • Ability to drive results.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse operations, including loading/unloading trucks, stacking bags, handling products, and palletizing.
  • Document all completed work and record inventory data, utilizing scanners/computers, as necessary.

  • Supervises checking and unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with a high level of productivity.
  • Verifies required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted.
  • Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are complete and free of damage.
  • Completes all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Computers are used to analyze daily and weekly production metrics.
  • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Maintains product locator system.
  • Ensures the optimal utilization of space.
  • Rotates product as appropriate.
  • Ensures the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assists in maintaining warehouse security.
  • Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
  • Attends warehouse planning meetings.
  • Acts as liaison between employees and management.
  • Communicates industry and brand knowledge to associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
