About The Position

The Lead Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring material readiness and inventory management to support production schedules and on-time engine builds. This role leads material coordination activities across the package components and Turbine hardware, driving execution, visibility, and accountability for all material flow. The Lead Material Coordinator analyzes production demand to proactively identify material risks, prevent shortages, and maintain continuity of operations. Serving as a central point of coordination, this role partners closely with production, supply chain, engineering, and support shops to ensure seamless material availability and execution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience using Quantum ERP
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ year of general work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable leading others
  • General knowledge of the typical business practice
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Previous experience operating a forklift
  • Valid drivers license

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily material coordination activities across assigned engine(s) and module(s), ensuring all required parts, consumables, and sub-assemblies are available to meet scheduled build dates
  • Review production schedules and collaborate with planning and operations leads to define material requirements and priorities
  • Own and drive the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between support shops and warehouse locations based on production urgency
  • Monitor and manage inventory status by module, including material location, availability, and in-process component tracking
  • Analyze demand requirements using production schedules, and stock levels, to determine material quantities needed for work orders and develop a min / max inventory system.
  • Review system inputs (e.g., Quantum) to identify fallout (scrap/repairable parts), validate stock availability, and initiate requisitions as needed
  • Generate and manage requisitions for consumables and materials supporting production and support shop operations
  • Partner with operations team to define consumable requirements for assigned engines and modules
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technicians, leads, and support teams to ensure material issues are resolved in real time
  • Review engineering documentation to validate material and identify shortages
  • Coordinate with the Asset management Team and Supply Chain to manage parts requiring replacement and approval
  • Ensure all modules and materials are properly kitted, transacted, and delivered in alignment with system requirements and physical flow (e.g., Blue Tag warehouse processes)
  • Collaborate with inspection to validate material conformity and documentation prior to release to production, ensuring traceability and compliance standards are met
  • Control and track movement of materials across racks, workstations, and support shops, ensuring timely transfers and minimal delays
  • Monitor stock status and overdue materials, escalating risks and driving resolution to prevent production impact
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics for external repairs ensuring alignment to production schedules
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining a shelf life management program
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining a stockroom layout that maximizes Flow, Accessibility, Capacity, Traceability
